(4) 2000 Un-Used Stainless Steel Evapco ATW Series Fluid Cooler/Evaporative Condenser- 827 Nominal Tons. Model ATW – 207C. S/N: T000388. This unit was installed but never commissioned at Global Crossing / WorldCom’s headquarters building near Boston, Massachusetts. For Freon 22 it is rated at 827 tons with a 74°F wet bulb and 105 °F condensing. For ammonia it is rated at 587 tons with a 74°F wet bulb and 95°F condensing. As a fluid cooler it is rated for 383 gpm with a 74°F wet bulb and 95°F entering temperature and 85°F leaving temperature. The galvanized coils feature both extended surface coils and Therma-Pak®, elliptical coils. For many of the cooler months the extended surface coils can be used for dry operation. Cost new was just less than $150,000 each.

Uniquely designed as two, side by side connected units, these are capable of being divided operationally into individual units, each with one fan and coil section. Nominal capacity of one section is 285 tons. As single, axial fans are located on the ends and not on the sides of each unit, they can be placed closed to walls or set-backs for narrow, space limiting applications. The condensing coil is all prime surface continuous serpentine steel tubing that is tested with air to 375 psig (2687 kPa) underwater and is designed for low pressure drop with sloping tubes. Water distribution system consists of a galvanized header and schedule 40 PVC spray branches with large diameter, non-clog, plastic spray nozzles oriented for optimum wetting of the coil under all operating conditions. Water pump is a close-coupled, bronze-fitted, centrifugal pump with a mechanical seal. BAC evaporative condensers provide heat rejection for many types of systems in the HVAC and light industrial markets. Belt No: 3R150. Inlets: (2) 3 in. dia. refrigerant pipes, (1) 4 in. dia.
