The Howden WRV oil injected compressor is a positive displacement, capacity controlled, oil flooded, rotary machine. Compression is achieved by the meshing of two helical rotors on parallel shafts. The male rotor has four lobes which mesh with six flutes in the female rotor, both rotors having the same outside diameter.
